Swimming at Cache Creek Campground
Non-existent, that is what the swimming was like at Cache Creek Campground. Yolo County operates a campground about 21 miles north of Cache Creek Indian Casino. It is a tiny campground with too many camp spots for the area so when everyone is at camp it is pretty crowded. There are no urban camp sites near this spot though so you are kind of stuck. That isn’t all the bad news about this camp ground. There are no reservations available. Yolo County runs it on a first come first serve basis. Here is a link to the campground information; http://www.yolocounty.org/Index.aspx?page=379. Fantastic tube rides though. I recommend the first few times you tube that portion of Cache Creek you go with the tour. There were a number of spots that had me guessing and the tour gives you a free ride to the top of the rapids. Here is a link to the raft rental; http://cachecanyon.com/trips.htm. These people are a bit full of themselves but they know what they are doing and enjoy doing it. Tomorrow we will travel a bit further up and see some pretty cool rock formations.
